Let there be light . . . and it was. In other words, I finally replaced the two burnt-out lightbulbs in my bathroom. The one remaining bulb just wasn't cutting it. When I bought them (they're vanity bulbs), I must have been thinking of the bulbs in the vanity at my previous apartment, which were clear, not white, so I bought two clear bulbs. The preexisting bulb, I realized on my return, is in fact white, not clear. Of course, there's no way I'm going back out to exchange the bulbs, so we have a cute little clear-white-clear patten in my bathroom. Good news: I can actually see in there now. Bad news: The floor needs mopping. Tough cookies news: Ain't gonna happen.
I also bought and promptly consumed a Hershey bar. No regrets, bay-bee.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
