Philosophy Slam
Still philosophizing after all these years.

I have CNN on at the moment (driving my blood pressure up again), and they were speculating awhile ago how morale-lowering it must be for Iraqi citizens to see the presidential palace in all its spendor. True. But mighten't it ALSO be disheartening for them to be BOMBED constantly by foreign forces? I know I'd be bummed if someone (oh, like AMERICA and GREAT BRITIAN, not that I'm pointing fingers) took out my Oil-for-Food pipelines. Or leveled my village. Or killed leading dissidents in various strikes. Justa thought, there.
*grumble*

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
