Once Again . . .
Sacrifice a goat for me, because I'm being observed by Psycho Lady again tomorrow. Eh, today. Whatever. And she's coming on the first day that we discuss a difficult, confusing play (The Death of the Last Black Man in the Whole Entire World), so that won't help. I'm intrigued by it but frankly don't understand it myself. I seem to have made lots of random close-reading notes without ever adding these marginal notes into a total reading of the play. Let's see if I can hide that fact for an hour and fifteen minutes.
I have some video clips. Please let the students be nice because I have video clips.
And please let me, for once, be able to operate the classroom DVD player without having to call on a student for help.
Amen.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
