La La Laaa
I feel compelled to blog, and yet I have nothing to say. So let the random thoughts begin!
*I'm fascinated by these new Tylenol Cool Caplets. The cooling sensation comes from some sort of minty coating on the outside of the pill, so you get a cool sensation (quite short-lived, in my experience) on the tongue and in the throat. What purpose does this serve? You'd get maybe ten seconds of relief from a sore throat or a mouth sore, but I really do fail to see why the world needed this particular innovation.
*My apartment is a pigsty. Seriously. As in I'm embarrassed for the mailman to come to the door and see it. Volunteers to come clean?
*It's getting cool in here, but, as with last year and the year before, I'm too cheap to turn on the heat. So I'll just do what I do best: pile on blankets and sweatshirts-- and whine! It galls me enough that I have to pay $8 a month for gas, even when I'm not using it at all (which I'm usually not, given that the only thing I have that's gas is the heat).
*I have to watch Intolerance tomorrow night. Note that it's one seriously long movie. I haven't even seen it, and already I've suffered: the prof keeps making jokes about how he hopes we won't be "intolerant of Intolerance" and that we won't "find Intolerance intolerable." And so on.
*I can't wait to learn how much the 60 gig iPod will cost, given the exorbitant price of even their smallest model. I notice that there's no mention of the fact that Nomad has had 60 gig model for some time now. Nomad's prices are much more reasonable than iPod's, which I suppose makes them less sexy.

Current Obsession: research project?
Alice: has been suggested as "resident pet" for a messageboard. Add this to her parking lot popularity, and you'll know why I call her my little ho.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
