More Sensitive with Each Passing Day
. . . yep, that's me.
I'd been ignoring a string of e-mails about some sort of training, because I kind of assumed it was optional (how I inferred this from just reading subject lines, don't ask me) and because I have no motivation whatsoever. But I just realized that this protection of student information stuff is mandatory, and, because I like my paycheck (such as it is), I gotta do it. Man, does this mean I have to stop selling students' social security numbers? 'Cuz that's gonna make me late on payments on my Porsche.
Ha.
Online training and a quiz. That's going to cut into my TV viewing schedule.
Do I sound cynical about the academic world? Oopsie. I <3 academia.
Okay, I need more Tylenol (would you have guessed from the content of this post that I have a headache? and a backache? and sinus pain?), but it hasn't been four hours yet. Curses.
I am feeling really cranky at the moment. In case you didn't notice.
Reading: film stuff
Listening: Dylan
Current Obsession: my own petty aches, pains, and concerns. I'm shallow like that.
Alice: loves me anyway.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
