Philosophy Slam Still philosophizing after all these years.

Must . . . update.

I let the Ides of March slide by uncommemorated. Hmmph. I'm slipping in my old age.

My life is utterly, completely boring. My postcolonial theory class, which I endured today, is the most painfully boring two and a half hours on the face of the planet. One day, I'm going to gnaw out my own entrails, just to put an end to the abject tedium.

I hope you all enjoyed that pleasant image.

In other news, there's been a stray kitten, gray and fluffy, wandering around the apartment complex lot. I attempted to introduce it to Alice, who has horrified by the prospect of becoming a big sister (and has continued to have spastic fits in the window each time she sees the dreadful creature outside). My adopting it, in other words, is out of the question (according to the boss around here).

So the kitten was fluffy until last week, when someone shaved its back and tail. Turns out it was two guys in the complex, who had a party, got drunk, and shaved the kitten.

Yeah. That's what I always do when I wanna have a good time: shave baby animals.

Can anyone say future serial killers?

This story has a happy ending, though: the two girls next door to me caved and adopted the cat. They told me this evening, on their way out to Wal-Mart for food, litter, and cat toys; I think we can safely assume that the cat will be thoroughly spoiled. And that its fur will grow back.

Moral: Some people are good. And some people are vile, nasty, freaky, inhumane, subhuman creeps.
