Philosophy Slam
Still philosophizing after all these years.

Once again, Katherine Mansfield best sums up my day:
A cold day [. . . .] Everything feels detached-- uprooted-- flying through the hurtling air or about to fly. There's almost a sense of having to dodge these unnatural rudderless birds . . . . To use a homely image, imagine the world an immense drying ground with everything blown off the lines . . . . It is very nervously exhausting.
And the day spent itself . . . . The idle hours blew on it and shed itself like seed . . . .
Philosophy Slam: Why bother generating original content when you can mine the journals and life-commentary of others?

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
