Philosophy Slam
Still philosophizing after all these years.

Where has the weekend gone? I feel like I've been reading and reading (which is precisely what I have been doing, when I wasn't assembling furniture), but I've gotten nowhere. I've read pages upon pages, and I have eyestrain, but my work for tomorrow is still not finished.
This distresses me.
Why? This would hardly be the first time I've attended seminars in which I haven't finished all the reading, this being mainly because the professors often knowingly assign you more reading than you can possibly get done. Heck, I've even gone to class without doing any of the reading (though I usually reserve that particular act of slackitude for the ends of semesters).
But I'm antsy and annoyed tonight. Plus, as previously mentioned, my eyes hurt. I feel inept and inadequate. Or more inept and more inadequate. Whatever.
I'm frustrated. And tired. Hence, I vent.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
