Philosophy Slam
Still philosophizing after all these years.
Sunday, April 28, 2002
Ahh, it's good to be back in front of the glowing 17" screen, working on something that's not my seminar paper. People, I have a complete (well, no conclusion yet) first draft of this written (unproofread, unpolished) as we speak. This must be some sort of record. It's not due until Tuesday at 2:00, meaning I'd normally be at this stage sometime between 10 and 11 Tuesday morning. Not that I've accomplished anything else this weekend . . . Still.
I don't have to work this afternoon, and I'm going to eat a free dinner tonight! Yeah baby. Life is sweet.
Now to go read Hume.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
