Philosophy Slam
Still philosophizing after all these years.

I'm working on my McCarthy seminar paper (how else would a young elegible gal spend a Saturday night?). It's due for distribution Tuesday, and I'll have the joy of presenting it to the class (who will spend the next 50 minutes critiquing it) Thursday.
I've got a hilarious story to post (courtesy of Jen) and will do so shortly, but I should probably say something profound (hahahahaha) about Judge Holden (the creepiest character I've ever encountered in literature-- and, considering the kind of stuff I read, that's saying a lot) first.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
