Philosophy Slam Still philosophizing after all these years.

I am moved. Finally. It took the movers six hours, then two more days of car trips, but it's done. Wanna talk about misery? It was awful. I'm staying in this place for the next twenty years, at least. The movers wouldn't move anything that wasn't in a sealed box, which was what screwed me up. In all my stupidity, I didn't know that, so I packed in the flat boxes I use to move books (definitely the best way, if you're doing it yourself) and bags. Bear in mind, too, that I've been moving clothes, books, etc. over here over a period of several weeks.

So of course it's a disaster here. Things in the wrong places, so many things not put away, boxes and books and other random stuff everywhere. Alice is having a field day climbing, sniffing, and hiding, but I'm less enthralled.

She has acquired the habit of stalking, killing, and consuming bugs. I'm encouraging this, as the stalking bit is rather cute, and it saves me the trouble of smooshing bugs and scraping up their gooey remains.

And wasn't that poetic? I really think I should go to bed now. My upper back (the part I screwed up moving the bargain-size cat litter) is once again painful. Ugh.

Seriously, folks. No more moving for Elvisette. If there are any partying, fire alarm-pulling undergrads in this complex, I'm just going to shoot them. It'll be a lot easier. Ditto for uncooperative management and maintenance personnel. Or, heck, anyone who annoys me in the least. And at this point, that won't take much.

Bedtime. In a big way.
