Today, So Much
To the reader who sent me the books from my amazon wish list after reading my posts about feeling crummy, THANK YOU! It had been a crummy period, and it was a happy thing when the books arrived today. I knew I had that link over there for a reason :) You're a good Samaritan.
I have been doing somewhat better psychologically. Probably the psychotically high (pun intended) doses of the new antidepressant. aiiiiieeeeeeee
More bad news at work: A coworker's husband was scheduled to undergo surgery today. He died on the table. How can all that's happened in the past year or so happen at such a small place of work? A death, two cancers, my clots, and they don't even know about the looney bin stint (and it's best it stay that way). And I'm not naming everything.
I'm not processing all this right now, so I'm going to do something phenomenally stupid, even for me. I'm going to post a Lily Allen single on my blog so that I'll remember to listen to it when I have time:

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
