I do love a good internet toy. Especially if it's basically pointless.
This book, Gracefully Insane, really was good, though. It's not a scandal sheet or an expose, so skip it if that's your cup of tea. But it was highly readable, informative, and enjoyable. Lots of case histories, famous figures (poets, singers, society figures, plus your little-known wealthy whackos). I was interested in the evolution of long inpatient stays to the pill "carpet bombing" of today. I know the feeling. Oooooh, I know the feeling . . .
Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
