And They Think These Little Hick Towns Are Boring
A favorite activity of the library staff is to go to the county sheriff's office homepage and look at the inmate population (with mug shots!). Typically, we get to see people we know.
Today, for instance:
-A woman I've always thought of as very nice is in on multiple accounts of check fraud. I hope she didn't cut us a check for fines or anything.
-Another is in for driving without a license (which doesn't surprise me, because it seems that no one who comes to the library ever has ID) and felony DUI.
-A chick I went to junior high with (I was quite scared of her) has been in a couple of years-- accessory before the fact of murder. Seems that my junior high instincts were correct.
-Yet another former classmate is in for: CDV (what's that?), a bunch of family charges, failure to comply (with what, it doesn't say, but I'd assume child support or something),l and tresspassing. His confinement date is recent, but I've seen him on this web page before.
-Yet another former classmate (and no, I did NOT go to the local alternative school, even though it sounds like it) is in for FCBW, whatever that is.
-Another classmate: possession with intent, crack, and breaking arrest.
There's more, but I'll stop. I still haven't seen the two who got arrested at the library last week (or whenever that was). Someone posted bail? I'm going to be very disappointed if I don't know what they did.
And if you want to know what's REALLY scary, you can also view the sex offenders' list. And the number of library patrons found there is alarming.
That's it for tonight. Go to bed, sweet dreams, see you in the morning.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
