Philosophy Slam Lite
It seems that I've been pretty wordy the last few days. That's what I get for staying away from blogging so long.
There's no much to report. I braved the Saturday-Presidents' Day crowd at the outlet mall and scored some really good bargins, including a 1940s-looking, adorable polka dot skirt.
Those who have to live near me (say a prayer and light a candle for them) are well aware with my love of polka dots. Two new styles on the Gap website (#1 and #2) are calling my name. Springy clothes are beginning to look alluring; of course, the trade-off is that winter clothes hide a multitude of sins (watch how flaws smoooooth away under a pair of tweed trousers). And there's a lot more skin to bare come summer, which isn't my favorite part of the deal. I love the clothes, it's me that's the problem.
I'm really missing out on a career as a stylist. If nothing else, I'm excellent at spending other people's money.
Reading: Lucky Magazine, Fleshmarket Alley Listening: my brother, who is repeating "hello? hellooo?" into a mike (or whatever the technical term is) in an attempt to make contact with other internet-based lifeforms like himself Current Obsession: spring's coming; must get in shape. Even feet are completely unpresentable. Alice: has had a relatively tame day.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
