One Toke Over the Line

Yeah, I bet that title got your attention. I have only discovered Brewer and Shipley today, and I must procure as much of their music as humanly possible. There's a chance of reviving some old LPs, but they've been stored stacked on top of each other in a room that has the climate control of a screened-in porch (okay, more than that, but only slightly).

Given that I am here, on leave, deprived of my own internet connection and thus forced to use the Computer of the Parents, I'm thinking that installing *cough* legal *cough* file sharing programs is probably out of the question. My computer, alas, has no modem, so I'm stuck with this.

On a completely unrelated note (actually, not entirely unrelated: thought process leading to this next musical remark is that Nigel mentioned on Crossing Jordan tonight that he had a blog, which leads me logically to:), tonight's Crossing Jordan featured a predominately Kinks soundtrack. Good stuff.

Reading: Double Shot, which got me craving a good latte, followed by Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim. Both today. Started about 10:30. Was gone for about 3 hours in the afternoon. The reading speed becomes to come back, if not the ability to digest "deep" material.
Listening: in my head, the little bit of "Oh, Mommy" (I ain't no commie) that I can remember from 30 second mp3s.
Current Obsession: apart from immunosuppressive diseases, is it possible for one's body to declare war on itself? As in out of sheer cussedness?
Alice: is sitting on top of the TV, checking out the outdoor nightlife.
