Need to Adjust Blogging Habits
. . . because by the time I come to the computer, I'm ready to go to bed and too tired to type out the library horror stories du jour. Verbal abuse, racism, projectiles, obscene gestures, having a handful of change flung at you by a grandmotherly figure-- it's all here!
Oh, and would it KILL people to flush the toilets after using them??? I use my foot to press the handles at the mandatory flush-session at the end of each workday.
The TMI section: Went to the gastroenterologist today, and you can imagine what a joy that was. I got medication and an order to take Citrucel, which has calories-- why??? even the sugar-free variety is 35 kcal per dose). The big news is that I get to have a endoscopy next Monday (which I'll have off from work anyway, as we who work for the county / state / etc. get presidents' day off). If I'm super-lucky, I get a colonoscopy, too. The doctor thinks it's probably just IBS, but, given my various symptoms (I'll spare you), he's going to do the test/s anyway.
So, off to bed, having dosed up on the large number of pills I already take. I managed to fill every line the nurse had for listing medication on her form, for which I should probably not feel a slight sense of accomplishment.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
