Accck Pt. 2
The random viral whateveritis is not pleasant. In seminar today, I was unable to keep up with what was going on and had persistent double vision. When I stood up to leave seminar, I promptly plunked back down in my seat. On the way down the hall, I semi-collapsed into a chair. Speculation from family doc (heaven forbid I haul out and actually go to the doctor unless I'm actively bleeding from my pores) is that it's viral and that the illness, combined with my various medications, is pulling my (already-very-low) blood pressure down further, causing the tiredness, dizziness, and double vision. Makes sense to me.
But I somehow doubt that the class I teach tomorrow will make much sense.
I just made out a pop quiz, in fact, and I should probably proofread it in the morning to make sure I'm not asking questions like "on the sixth line of the fourth paragraph of the tenth page of the play, who's being spoken to?"
It should actually be extremely easy. Their quiz grades have been bad, so, pushover that I am, I gave them the heads-up that this quiz was coming and then-- sit down-- made it multiple-choice. Hey, it's always nice to play Good Guy before the evals are due.
I have suddenly gone from freezing cold to burning hot. Perhaps it's time to take the ol' temperature again.
Bleah. Again.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
