I'm officially changing my self-diagnosis of whateveritis I've got from "cold" to "random viral illness."
I'm achy and tired. Very tired. I'm congested but not overly so. I cough a little, but it's a dry cough. All lights look way too bright and shiny. I get double-vision every time I try to read, and when I do manage to focus the page, my brain turns itself off.
In other words, today has not been productive. It's not like I'm violently ill or, heaven forbid, revisiting meningitis; it's just that whatever it is is persistent enough to be annoying and an interference with my ability to function. I'm not sick enough to beg off doing anything, but I am sick enough to make doing anything quite difficult. Bleah, bleah, bleah.
I'm giving up and going to bed.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
