Drama for Dummies
This batch of rough drafts that I'm reading is probably the worst set I've ever had. I seriously hope that these don't represent their best efforts, or we're in for a long term. If I have to write out one. more. comma. rule., I'll explode.
Grading is by far the thing I hate-- despise-- most about teaching. The thought of doing this for the rest of my life makes me ill. And makes me seriously reconsider my career options.
And, as I reconsider, I think: Should I finish this program, get the PhD? I've already got the master's, is that enough? Will any of this do me any good?
Probably not.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
