Alice in Paparazzi-Land
My cat has such a fan club that it's pathetic (or makes me feel pathetic, anyway; Alice seems just fine with it all). For instance, one friend who sometimes drops me off at home will sit in her car in the lot, hands flaunted neatly in her lap, until I invite her in to see Alice. I knew that the girl next door was planning to adopt her if I didn't, and I found out last weekend that, the very day I took Alice home, another neighbor had convinced her fiance to let her keep Alice. As I've often mentioned, the little boy next door is crazy about her and greets her every time he passes by. Today, he was climbing on my windowsill (fear not; it's a low sill, and he couldn't have gotten hurt), back and forth, to attract her attention. And she just eats it up.
No one ever climbs up the window for me. Hmmph.
In other news, I was earlier alerted to the fact that I've made it to ratemyprofessor.com. Eh, is that a good thing?

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
