Philosophy Slam
Still philosophizing after all these years.
Thursday, January 22, 2004
I just walked the mile-plus back from class, in windchill 25 (it felt colder than that). I, of course, forgot both gloves and hat, because it wasn't nearly this cold when I left this afternoon.
So now I'm back, cold to the bone. Alice just hopped into my place on the futon, on top of my polartec blanket. The futon is so piled-up that there's not enough room for both of us, which probably means I should clean or something. But that would take an awful lot of energy.
I could go on whining about coldness, but you've heard it all before. I'm going to go locate my flannel pjs now.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
