Philosophy Slam
Still philosophizing after all these years.

I hope you were all watching CSI tonight, since the line "Hell is other people" and The Name of Sartre were featured in the opening sequence (before the opening credits). Existential recognition.
Also, the victim was an impossible-to-deal-with, highly-contrary grad student. Hmm. A bit too close to home, perhaps.
In the meantime, nothing. I'm taking my car in tomorrow to get the tires checked. Will the excitement never end?!? I'm slogging through the pre-reading for one of my classes, and it's already annoying me to a great degree. Speaking of being highly contrary, huh.
Oh, one unusual thing: I got a massage yesterday, the massage being a gift. The massuse (did I spell that right?) informed me that I was as "stiff as a board" and "seriously stressed-out." She also mentioned that I tensed up every time I was touched. Relaxation is not my strong suit, and I am a failure as a massage-ee. Add that to the list of failures, huh.
It's past my bedtime, and I'm grouchy. You'll have to excuse me.
Nighty-night.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
