Let's hear a cheer: I finally sold my washer and dryer! I had them over in the old apartment, and then this place already had units. So I ended up with a spare washer and dryer, which have been decorating my kitchen since June. The kitchen looks rather empty now, and Alice will have lost one of her favorite things to jump up on. I'm thrilled to get rid of them.
In other news, it's freezing cold, windy, and wet here, which makes for a very unhappy Elvisette. I have a sore throat and a cough, which is a joy. And I can't get warm. Grrr, grumph, growl. I hate cold.
Alice is monitoring outside conditions very closely, though whatever she's seeing, I'm not. Feline hallucinations. I did scatter some birdseed out back a few days ago, and she's loving the feathered visitors. We had a gorgeous cardinal out there earlier today.
I think I'm going to return my coughing, shivering, grouchy self to the futon now. What Not to Wear awaits.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
