Philosophy Slam
Still philosophizing after all these years.

I was digging around for an AWOL drama anthology last night and found the box with my childhood diaries.
I was a weird kid, too.
I always wrote with a future audience in mind (I had read Anne Frank over and over, so something in my mind equated diaries with eventual publicity-- which is probably why I blog and journal elsewhere now, huh?), and there's an odd split in the voices that speak in the diary. One's trying to be "normal," one is being more honest. Or not so much honest as uncensored and inattentive to tone or content.
I've only gotten odder since then, but at least my handwriting has improved.
Somewhat.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
