Still philosophizing after all these years.

So I'm upstairs this morning, getting ready for the Day O' Misery that is Thursday. I'm listening to Toni Price (Midnight Pumpkin), communing with The Alice, and trying to make my hair look as unweedwhacked as possible, when I hear a sound at the door.
I go downstairs, see some teenageish kid out there, and open the door. The kid, by way of introduction, announces: "Don't worry; I'm not a Mormon!"
Great, so he's just a serial killer. Whew, I was worried there for a minute.
And I think his skaterboarder-ish garb had already tipped me off to the fact that he wasn't here to convert me.
He was selling something or the other about communications. Or something. I didn't follow the pitch. I dismissed him accordingly.
Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
