Still philosophizing after all these years.

I should post, huh? We've got the full week off from school, so no classes, no teaching. Halleujah. Looks like my slacking has extended to my blog as well. I haven't accomplished much thus far; I'm watching my way through a stack of movies. I was watching Reservoir Dogs a few days ago (when the weather was in the 70s, as opposed to the 20s, which it'll be tonight) with the windows open. It then occurs to me that a small child lives in this complex, and perhaps the dialogue from that particular film might be just the slightest bit inappropriate. Alice left the room (which is highly unusual for her; she stays where I am).
I got my hair cut Friday, much shorter than it has been. I'm not sure what motivates me to keep hacking it off like this. There's no point in growing it out, because the longer it gets, the more I look like Cousin Itt. I have thick, oddly-textured, uncooperative hair, to say the least.
And wasn't that a fascinating conversation? I'd better stop here, before my readers pass out from sheer excitement.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
