Elvisette needs a nap. As if that's news.
Tomorrow is the two seminar day. It's like the generic cartoon scene: You get hit by one car, stand up, and then get plowed into by another one, leaving you flat on the pavement and blinking helplessly with big startled eyes. I AM that roadkill.
Work is progressing halfway decently, which means that I've either screwed something up horribly or forgotten something crucial. I finished Dos Passos today, read criticism, watched South Park, and finished a scarf ("dark mauve", which is a pretty color in spite of its name). That's my exciting life, folks.
I want things. Wah, wah, wah. Yes, I'm shallow. Yes, I'm aware of that.
Speaking of acquisitiveness and shallowness, I went to a 70-80% off shoe sale this weekend and finally got the pair of Birks I've wanted for years, for under $30. This purchase made my small brain very happy.
I also planted a pot of pansies. Purrrrrty. Seriously, it is nice to know that I'll be greeted by colors when I come home every day during the forthcoming bleak winter. I chose purples, oranges, yellows, violets, blues, deep reds, you name it. It's a real burst of color.
Current bedtime reading: A Right to Be Hostile. Hilarious. Simply hilarious (if that last link isn't coming up, it's the site, not me. try again later). And very, very smart.
Over and out.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
