Philosophy Slam
Still philosophizing after all these years.

I still have nothing to say, but I feel compelled to make an effort.
Let's see. Several of my students are so excited about the novel that we're reading now, Mona in The Promised Land, that they're actually reading ahead. Be still, my heart. I'm proud of 'em.
But I still think we'll have a pop quiz this week. Or a response paper, at the very least. I have a couple who are slacking, one in particular. Bad students. No cookie.
It's been a chilly, rainy day here. It's chilly at La Casa de Elvisette, since I still haven't gotten the heat turned on. Alice is using me as her main nocturnal heating source. Last night, she woke me up (which she never, ever does) in the act of trying to get closer to me, I presume to keep warm. I'm a crummy catmother.
On the lighter side, the colder it gets, the more amusing my apartment-only outfits get. Mismatched plaids, top and bottom, often abound. I often add my neon yellow-green-blue polartec blanket to the mix, along with the famous neon fuzzy slippers. Either that or my bright red Aztec-print socks. I'm the regular fashion plate.
And that, my friends, is how you make "nothing" into a blog entry. And isn't that the True Spirit of Blogging?

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
