I have ant problems. The little tiny ants are invading my kitchen. One of Alice's favorite occupations is swatting bugs, but these are too small for her to smush. She seems to find it quite frustrating. I'm afraid to use poison because of her, so I don't really know what to do. The problem is much better now that I've relocated Alice's food dish, which was apparently the initial attraction, but I keep finding them on the counters. I cleaned every iota of stuff off the counters, save for the things that belong there (toaster, etc), and I Lysol'd them down. And yet the ants keep a-comin'. I vacuumed and Swiffer'd the floor tonight (I luv my Swiffer WetJet), and we'll see if that makes a difference. My life is too terribly exciting.
Cute Alice story du jour: I use a small 3 ft x 3 ft square oak table in lieu of a kitchen table. I have two chairs at it, across from each other. One is "my" chair, and one is "Alice's" chair. When I sit there to study, she occupies the chair across from me. Sometimes, she sits up in it and faces me across the table, just like a little person. We have a similar arrangement with my two kitchen barstools: the one that gets the most sun is hers, while the other is mine. I sit in one to study, she sits in the other. Aww.
I'm a doting kittymommy.
And yes, I have no life.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
