Still philosophizing after all these years.

Watched the premiere of Cold Case tonight and liked it. I'll be adding that to my (extensive, and becoming more so) TV viewing schedule. Do I have time to be watching TV? Nope. Does TV keep me sane? Sadly, yep.
Alice helps, too. [note on Alice: photos coming soon!]
So that's about all in my exciting world. I'm rereading The Scarlet Letter for the first time since, uh, tenth grade, and I'm having a hard time getting caught up in it. You could probably brand me with a scarlet H (or perhaps an L, for Loser), because I actually like Hawthorne, but I'm not in the mood.
Pearl is sure creepier than I remembered, though.
I need to be reading White Noise, as we'll be moving to our third class day on it tomorrow. "Weird" and "random" are the two words the kiddies use most in describing it, but they seem to like it nonetheless. And even though they're finding it weird, it's not making them resistant, which I appreciate.
I need to grade their papers. Bleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
I also need to go get to work, because I have an obscene amount to do. Plus, my computer is being irritating. Plus, I'm making an inordinate number of typographical errors.
So, this is ElvisetteY, signing off for the evening.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
