Philosophy Slam
Still philosophizing after all these years.

I took Alice to the vet today for her booster shots. She wasn't enthused about going and in fact growled once we got there. Alice being Alice, the growling was less than frightening:
Alice: rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Vet: Yes, I AM wubbing your jelly-belly-welly!
It's a little hard to take Alice seriously as a vicious slayer. She's over in her chair at the moment, sleeping in one of her usual corkscrewed-stretched-flipped positions (pictures forthcoming).
The good news is that she remains hale and hearty; no health problems whatsoever. Awww.
Today was just a long day, though. Teaching, vet, research meeting. Blech. And I'm waaaaaaaay behind on work.
Had lunch today with my advisor. We did what we always do: eat Indian food and talk about Philip Roth. At least we have a routine.
That's about it from my exciting world.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
