Philosophy Slam
Still philosophizing after all these years.

I thought it was chilly and fall-ish today, but, given that the temperature was 78, I may be alone on that one. You can definitely tell that the breeze has cool undertones now, though. I think Alice senses it, because she's been bouncing around like a furry maniac all day (as cats are wont to do when the weather changes).
We're watching a film tomorrow, woohoo! No prep for me! It's amazing what a difference not having to do a lesson plan makes. Rock on. The kiddies (or the Hitler Youth, as I call them in my less forgiving moments) should thank me for this, since their first papers are due Thursday (shoot me, please).
I think I want to see this. I want to see a good, scary movie. I was terribly disappointed by The Ring, so I think I'm due for a good fright.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
