Funny stuff.

Went to the doctor this morning (after sleeping two hours last night) and got Ambien for the persistent insomnia. I'm highly ambivalent about taking sleeping pills; I'm less-than-fond of the idea. BUT, I'm going to take 1/2 pill per night (1 if the 1/2 doesn't put me to sleep in an hour), then 1/2 pill every other night for a week, then wait a week and see if it's needed, then back to the doctor to see how we stand. So I'm much relieved that he's not just tossing me a script and turning me into an Ambien addict. 'Cuz that wouldn't be good, ya know?

As always, the Ramones put it best.

Had a good day: met up with JM, got lunch at Applebee's (an unusually good veggie burger) then extensive shopping, then dessert-for-dinner at TGI Friday's. Too much food, too much junk, but lots of fun and a great break. She'd been doing job training in another state for a month, so it was good to see her back. She picked up Stanley, her Beta fish (and my babysitee); Jake himself is staying with her family back home.

I think that's about all from my exciting life. Shocker, huh?

Oh, I pick up the keys to my new domicile tomorrow!
