Jake is here for spring break. He's up to ~18 lbs now, folks. It's like living with a furry cow. He's up to all his old tricks: eating books and papers, destroying toilet paper, waking me up in the middle of the night (let's hear it-- or, rather not hear it-- for earplugs), etc. His latest trick is attacking my skein of yarn as I try to work. He doesn't take "no" for an answer, that's for sure. Good thing for him that he's cute.
My current crochet project is a baby blanket. Is there a little Elvisette Jr. on the way? hee hee hee . . . Actually, I want to make an afghan for my apartment but thought it would be best to try it on the small scale first. I think I'm working a lot of cat hair into the blanket.
I've taken a bit of time off for spring break but need to get my rear in gear. My main problem is that I don't want to write my Romanticism paper. Ick.
Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
