Philosophy Slam
Still philosophizing after all these years.

Jake is bound and determined to attack and consume the drawstrings on the sweatshirt I'm wearing. He's also turned my black yoga pants orangish with his seemingly endless output of hair. It reminds me of my grandfather's (semi)Boston Terrier's concerted efforts to untie shoelaces (in his puppyhood). Duke (the dog) was smarter than Jake, though. One of his best tricks was sticking out his tongue when you made a fist at him. But Jake is better-looking, even if he doesn't do tricks (aside from the "trick" of waking me up in the night, repeatedly).
I've been in a lovely eating binge the past few days. I acquired some chocolate and can't leave it alone to save my life. Hmmph. Elvisette is lacking in the self-control department (was that news to anyone?).
My apartment is reasonably tidy, for once, except for the thick layer of cat hair that covers everything. This could probably be used as evidence against me, since I'm not exactly supposed to be harboring an animal (other than myself) in here. Let's hope that the toilet doesn't break again.
Finally, a new weebl and bob [sound], featuring the namesake of your dearest blogmistress.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
