Given my out-of-shapeness, my stress and anxiety, and the lovely spring weather, now seemed like a good time to start running again. So I set out this morning on a nice run. *ooof* It's been too long. I ran for awhile, not sure how long, and then walked the rest of the way. I'd estimate that the whole thing was around two miles; I need to take my car out and clock it. What I'd love to do is run that first mile, then walk the second. Even though I can walk miles and miles and miles without any trouble at all, running has always been terrifically rough on me, no matter what shape I'm in. Who knows? Anyway, I've got a great and safe stretch picked out for my exercise (I don't get the same mental benefits if I work out inside). Enough people to be safe, but not enough to make me feel like I'm on display. (yes, I know that people aren't looking at me, but indulge my paranoia)
Had a good banana at lunch. It seemed especially sweet. mmmmmm
This apartment needs some serious spring cleaning. Volunteers?
Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
