This was in the "news"paper this morning, and, from my caffeine-centric perspective, it seemed like a good thing to post:

Top 10 Soft Drinks of 2001, according to Beverage Digest:

1. Coca-Cola Classic
2. Pepsi
3. Diet Coke
4. Mountain Dew
5. Sprite
6. Dr. Pepper
7. Diet Pepsi
8. 7up
9. Caffeine-Free Diet Coke
10. Barq's Root beer

I switched from regular Dew to Diet in 2002, so you can probably expect to see a drop from that #4 position. My current Diet Cherry Coke consumption may rocket that particular drink to the top 5, though. And from my highly scientific observations of the local Harris Teeter stock, I'd say that Diet Dr. Pepper is a popular choice for the general public (who are, of course, represented with sociological perfection by the customers of my particular grocery).

A note on last night's post: While the post shows up as being at 11:17 PM, it was, in fact, 12:17 AM EST; I just never bothered switching the blog from CST to EST, just for the holiday. So I'm not entirely pathetic, just sort of pathetic.
