Philosophy Slam Still philosophizing after all these years.

I've been watching the "Fresh Blogs" section of the blogger mainpage and have noticed that many blogs are titled "random thoughts" or some variation of that. So here's a question . . . what if it turns out that nothing is random?

Oooookay. I don't want to work, which may be a redundant observation, considering the above remark. I'm leaving for my rescheduled class in about 20 minutes; it'll run until 2:00, and then there's a talk at 3:10. Which leaves me with not enough time to come home but too much time to kill on campus. Probably meaning that I'll go sit in my depressing library carrel and possibly eat food I've smuggled in, all the while staring at the splintery wooden sides and the yellowing formica top. Oh, and the gray metal shelves that are right in front of me. And the concrete block wall on my left. With any luck, that grumpy old man who sits at the carrel diagonally behind mine will be there; he leaves his briefcase and cane in the narrow path between carrel rows and refuses to move them, meaning I have to squeeze up and trip my way back to my (reserved) carrel. He pretends not to notice me every time. I may whang him in the back the head with my shoulderbag and knock off that stupid cap he always wears, given my mood today.

I suppose I could take some of my reading for next week and start it, joy. Or go over to the TA offices and listen to them complain about their classes. It's so good to be back.
