Philosophy Slam
Still philosophizing after all these years.

Ahh. I hath survived the week. Well, mostly: the nineteenth century prof kindly scheduled a "professionalization seminar" for tomorrow, in case we haven't seen enough of him this week.
So. I should really be working on papers now. The good news is that the southern lit paper has been moved from next Wedneday to Friday the 13th. Aside from potential karma issues, this is a big relief, especially since I've written 3 of the 20 pages, at this point. And none of those three pages have citations. Should be fun. Also, I negotiated a new date for my modernism paper (he's flexible, thank the various deities), Thursday the 19th instead of Tuesday the 17th. If I'd been able to keep the original date, then I would have been finished in time to see THE TWO TOWERS premier on the 18th, but sometimes the important things must be sacrificed to keep up with the trivial details.
Current progress on said trivial details:
*Southern lit: 3/20
*19th century: complete rough draft! pending review . . .
*modernism: 7/20
Other excitement in my life:
*doing laundry
*watching CSI
*dude, scratch that; the cable just went out
*make that sitting on my butt and watching the test pattern
*and folding enough laundry so that I can sleep on my bed tonight.
Well. I'd better cut this short, before you all become jealous of the wild hedonism that is my life.
Though we are having a party on Pearl Harbor day, which I understand is the party to end all parties. So there.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
