Philosophy Slam
Still philosophizing after all these years.

There's nothing like an obese and furry cat sleeping on one's face at night to remind oneself that one is allergic to cats. I had to go to the grocery this morning (I was out of granola bars, one of the few things I'll buy whether they're on sale or not, because they're a major food group around here.
I dusted and vacuumed my messy apartment (no, that's not it in the pic; I'd hate for any of you weirdos to trace me to where I live) this morning, much to Jake's consternation. In light of how weirded out he was by the vacuum, (I put him on my bed, then reached over to reassure him, he swatted at me in terror, falling off the bed in the process), I wonder how often his mommy cleans.
I'm working slowly. Large blocks of unstructured free time are not my strong point, to quote on of my fellow students, and I think my brain has been stretched to the breaking point. Last weekend was really tough, and I think I'm still rebounding from that. Still, I'd better get a move on . . .

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
