Philosophy Slam
Still philosophizing after all these years.

My feline charge's mother is stuck in Cleveland, owing to the inclement weather. I broke the news gently to Jake, who responded by crawling in my lap, putting his head on my chest, and falling asleep. He's currently dozing next to me on the couch, his considerable bulk having caused him to ooze off my lap (which he doesn't really fit on, anyway).
Thought for the evening: why can't I find a human male this devoted? Though I'd prefer someone with a healthier BMI. And who doesn't shed quite so much. And who's a little tidier with his kitty litter.
Guess I'm just too picky. On that note, I'm going to my kitty-litter'd bathroom and wash some of this excess fur off my person.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
