Last warning: If you're my mystery caller, either quit or confess. Next time, I'm calling the phone company. It's freaking me out, and it's getting old.

Apartment excitement: I think the girl across the hall from me, along with her accomplice, a slightly smaller and goate'd version of the infamous Brendan, are planning a nocturnal move-out. They were taking boxes into her apartment well after midnight last night (no, I do not hang around the peephole, but I was reading at the kitchen counter, which is close to the door, and the noise was hard to miss). Since I still have nearly 300 pages of Woolf to read tonight, I expect I'll still be awake (if not alert) in the wee wee hours. Perhaps there will be some excitement to keep me awake.

Speaking of sleep or lack thereof, I don't feel all that exhausted today, but I did scare myself when I went by a mirror. Dark circles ahoy. I was planning to sleep in until 8 or 9 Friday (all of Friday afternoon is tied up with meetings, and I'm meeting someone for coffee at some point), but I now have a doctor's appointment (free, with my excellent health insurance) at 8:00 AM, so I guess that won't happen.

Most of my Wednesday night dinner group was either absent or sick, so I actually came home like a good girl (whose allergies are absolutely murdering her, for the record; they call this place "the mold bowl") and ate a grilled soy-cheese sandwich. Now I need to tear into Woolf like a madwoman (ha! ha! ha! little literary humor there). Signing off, then, until my concentration starts to waver from fatigue . . . see ya in about 10 minutes, then . . .
