Philosophy Slam
Still philosophizing after all these years.

Ok, I DO plan to try to continue updating this, so be advised. I've graduated, had a billion pictures taken, and FINALLY got out of NVA201-3 after two years in the same spot. Moving out was HOT and NOT FUN, just for the record. Everything in sight got cleaned, though, so I'd better not have any neatness-related fines. I brought home stuff today that could only be classified as the world's most random mix, and my room is still piled with books, etc. I've been feeling ill (I suspect heat stroke) and have consequently not cleaned much since getting home; I've been reading A Confederacy of Dunces instead (call me productive). I'll conclude with my favorite quotation from that, thus far (this is spoken by Ignatius, the main character of this little absurdist gem):
"I refuse to 'look up.' Optimism nauseates me. It is perverse. Sincec man's fall, his proper position in the universe has been one of misery."

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
