We're having the STD booksale right now, which is made up of professors' donations. For those of you who know our director of educational services, Dr. Satan [codename], you already know that she's controlling, a witch, bossy, bossy, bossy, self-important, conceited, and the devil's finest disciple. Anyway, she donated Act Now, Apologize Later. This was our centerpiece; we would show it to people and explain that Dr. Satan donated it, and people would collapse with laughter. The general theory was that she had it memorized and no longer needed it (counter-theory is that she doesn't bother apologizing). So The Fox (a roommate) comes up to the table; she's one of Dr. Satan's special little prodigies (as is most of the polisci dept). I was talking to Dr. Theoryprof and didn't get to show her the book-- until she picked it up to buy it. It was all I could do not to fall on the floor laughing. I told the STD advisor that one of my roommates had bought The Book, and she was appalled. I told roommate Jen, who noted that it's a good thing that the year is almost over.
