Philosophy Slam
Still philosophizing after all these years.

Just got back from the senior banquet (I notice I wrote "picnic" below-- my bad; that's not until May). It was looooong, which is not good, considering the philosophy exam tomorrow. Anyway, we took the senior picture-- I swear I've never even SEEN half those people before. I'm standing right behind Tim, in front of Jen. The Fox hauled in late (made an entrance, you might say) and managed to be on the front row. Dinner was quite good, though; I had beef, potatoes, pasta, salad, and bread, plus some sort of pie for dessert. They gave out the senior kiss-up awards (they're called the Association of Students Awards-- poh-tay-toh, poh-tah-toh) and superlatives (most of which were won by people I'd never heard of). We were only moderately disruptive at our table. I sat next to a freaky weirdo who talked about spiders for a long time and then commenced throwing food. Turns out he's engaged to the girl he sat next to . . . strange people. Coerced Tim into signing up for the Read-A-Thon; the catch is, he's going to read in Klingon.
I must study now.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
