Philosophy Slam
Still philosophizing after all these years.

I'm embarrassed that you linked to this, Wildcat. This is supposed to be my nice, tame, non-venting site.
So, for a nice, tame update: Coworker Better Late than Never actually showed up for his work shift today, for a nice change of pace. We produced our famous coffee: paint-thinning strength, made with water from the men's room. It's probably best that this receipe doesn't get shared with the clientele. Mr. Smarmy, of course, left early yet again, at the behest of his whiney, annoying girlfriend (whose slave he is). I'd love to work with some responsible people, but apparently that's asking too much.
In the meantime, I'm still trying to study for the philosophy test, which is on an insane amount of material. Fortunately, he moved it to Wednesday, in a rare show of mercy. As of today, we still haven't finished all of the Berkeley material, and I guess he hates to miss the opportunity to make a few more idealism jokes.

Pascal: The present is never our end. The past and the present are our means, the future alone our end. Thus we never actually live, but hope to live, and since we are always planning how to be happy, it is inevitable that we should never be so.
